Behind the Shot
If paradise had a picture, it might look something like this. On the quiet island of Taha’a, overwater bungalows float above a crystal-clear lagoon, surrounded by swaying palms and endless shades of blue. The warm breeze carries the scent of tropical flowers, and the only sounds are the soft lapping of waves and the rustling of leaves.
Photographer Kyle Huber captured this dreamy scene on a perfect summer day, using the natural lines of the bungalows and shoreline to draw the eye toward the horizon. The calm, glassy water reflects the sky, making it feel like the world is stretching out infinitely in every direction.
Some places just have a way of slowing time, and Taha’a is one of them.
