Behind the Shot
Photographer Henrike Schenk had been wanting to visit the Amalfi Coast in Italy for years. After being in Covid lockdowns for a year and a half, when restrictions were finally lifted, she thought it would be the perfect time to finally take that Italian road trip.
When Henrike arrived at the Marina Grande beach, she took a long leisurely walk, enjoying the warm weather and the people watching. The beach was bustling for the first time in over a year, and the excitement and joy was palpable. This image captures the glory of the day—people basking in the sun and relaxing in the clear blue water, all taking a collective sigh of relief.
